Sourcing the stones

Stones are gathered over months and laid out in graduated order, each matched to its neighbour for colour, cut and depth. A single line can take a year to assemble.

Design and model

The design is drawn at actual size, cut in brass and worn. Weight is redistributed and the drop raised by a millimetre until the piece follows the collarbone.

Craftsmanship

Setting starts at the centre and works outward, each seat cut by hand. The gallery behind is pierced to let light through and to keep the piece light against the skin.
